We are very excited that Jan is now a U.S. National Evaluator for the Good Canine Good Citizen (GCG) Test. She was approved, registered & certified by The American Kennel Club last month and also received certification to teach the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Training Programs. She is very excited to offer her personally developed & proven CGC training programs to help prepare you and your dog for testing and certification.
AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program is one of the most rapidly growing programs in the American Kennel Club. There are many applications of this wonderful program that go beyond testing and certifying dogs. Dogs who are CGC Certified not only have bragging rights but are then pre-approved to becoming a registered/certified Therapy Dog. It may be possible to also lower your homeowners insurance.
The new AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start and is an incentive for loving dog owners who have taken the time to take their puppies through a basic training class.The key to a happy, well balanced and behaved dog is to start in early puppyhood. If you have every seen Yuki in action and wonder why he is so well behaved, Jan says “it has more to do with starting his training at 10 weeks then living with a Professional Trainer”.
